About Author
Sh. Muhammad Salih Al-Munajid is an Islamic lecturer who is of Syrian descent and was born in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) in 1960. He was raised in and currently lives in Saudi Arabia.
He graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management.
He studied Islamic law for 15 years under the former Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Baaz, who authorized him to teach and give lectures in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
He also studied under the scholars Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, Abdullah Ibn Jibreen, Saleh Al-Fawzan, Abd ar-Rahmaan al-Baraak, ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Ghunaymaan, Muhammad Ould Sidi al-Habeeb ash-Shanqeeti, ‘Abd al-Muhsin az-Zaamil, and ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan ibn Salih al-Mahmoud.
He is the imam and lecturer at the 'Umar ibn Abd al-'Aziz mosque in the city of Al-Khobar, where he teaches and gives lectures in Sharia and da'wah.
He was the first person to launch a website in Saudi Arabia representing Islam. The website Islamqa.com was launched in 1996 CE and presented in a QA format. He supervises the fatwas issued on the website and has continued running it until now. His website Islamqa.com has been translated into eight languages, in addition to the original Arabic: English, French, Spanish, Urdu, Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, and Uyghur.
He has taught a number of Islamic classes, in which he taught from texts such as the following:

He has several radio and television programs on channels in Saudi Arabia and throughout the Persian Gulf. He has contributed to TV programs and tapes on different subjects, amounting to more than 4500 audio hours over 23 years. Most of the content is in Arabic, although some of it is translated into English.
He is also the supervisor of the Islam Web Site (islam.ws) which includes eight sites. He is also the supervisor of the Zad Group, which is involved in Islamic education and da‘wah, with activities in the fields of mobile phones, telecoms, production, broadcasting, TV and publishing.
