This book is an English Translation of the renowned contemporary Tafseer in Urdu, تيسير الرحمن لبيان القرآن, authored by Dr Mohammad Luqman Salafi

This Tafsir work is distinguished for its simplicity, easy style, authenticity and usefulness for all categories of readers. This Tafseer explains the Quran based upon the methodology of the Salaf (noble predecessors).

The author has relied upon several renowned classical and contemporary Arabic Tafseers, such as Tafseer At-Tabari, Tafseer Ibn Kathir, Tafseer Al-Qurtubi, Tafseer Fath-ul-Qadeer by Ash-Shawkani, Al-Dhau Al-Munir By Ibn Al-Qayyim, Fath-ul-Bayan by Nawab Siddique Hasan Khan, Tafseer As-Sa'di, Mahasin-ul-Tanzil by Jamaluddin Qasmi, Aisar-ut-Tafasir by Abu Bakr Al-Jazairi.

Furthermore, while authoring this Tafseer, the author has relied upon several books authored by Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and his renowned student Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim.

About Author

Al-Shawkānī (d. 1250) said,

“Al-Suyūṭī was a major imām, and a prolific author. He was given authorisation (ijāzah) by the major scholars of his time from different countries and towns. He excelled in the various sciences and surpassed his peers; he gained distinction and his acclaim spread far and wide. From his beneficial works are his two Jāmiʿ collections of ḥadīth, al-Durr al-Manthūr and al-Itqān fī ʿUlūm al-Qurʾān.”
