This Islamic fiction book comprises of two tales: The Dirty Lion and The Bitter Honey Bee

The Dirty Lion
What happens when an arrogant king on a power trip decides to makes the lives of all the animals in his kingdom miserable? The Dirty Lion answers this question for young minds, by teaching them about the importance of facing power with wisdom. Along the way, they also get educated about Prophetic tradition related to hygiene, purity and faith. Through a unique approach that brings together scientific knowledge, Islamic wisdom and engaging storytelling, The Dirty Lion is the best way to ensure your little one learns the importance of hygiene in everyday life and remembers it through a memorable story.

The Bitter Honey Bee
Perseverance and hard work are two concepts which can turn a child’s life around if he or she internalises it early on in life. The Bitter Bee is a story of a bee, Miel, and his best friend, an ant named Naml. As children take the journey with Miel and Naml, they learn about how even though consistent hard work is frustrating, sometimes we do not see the results of our work until much later. Children also get educated about the Islamic principles that lay the foundation of any good Muslim’s life. By weaving together a relatable children’s story with concepts from Surah Al-Naml in the Qur’an, this book enables children to understand the importance of living a life of purpose and building resoluteness in life.

Book Review by Mufti Farhan Ali Memon

(Teacher and Researcher Of Hadith Sciences at NMRC)

"Islam places great emphasis on cleanliness and purification not only physical but spiritual, moral ,mental and social. Cleanliness is an essential part of faith. Muslims are required to clean their bodies, clothing and surroundings. There are various verses of Quran and Ahadeeth which shed light at the importance of cleanliness. Being a Muslim it is our foremost duty to maintain cleanliness in our clothing, dwelling places, streets and public places. Muslim should have the highest level of cleanliness and personal hygiene as compare to other people. However, unfortunately, heap of garbage has become an identity of the Muslim localities. Therefore; we should follow the instructions of Allah and His Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in maintaining purity and cleanliness.

The Bitter Honey Bee tells the story of a Honey Bee named Miel and her devoted friend Naml. Miel became fed up of making honey every day and giving it for free to everyone. But the devoted friend Naml guided her and encouraged Miel for the noble cause of making honey for mankind. How much successful Naml is in this task you will read in this fabulous story. The Bitter Honey Bee gives us a message that how to guide and treat our children with mercy and kindness. How to make them responsible and productive for the Ummah. This story will teach life lesson to children in the best way.

These two inspiring fables will provide parents and teachers an entertaining way to teach children moral and ethical values.

May Allah reward the author with goodness and increase her in knowledge and guidance and Make this valuable effort a source of guidance for the Ummah."
