This book was originally written by Muhammad ibn Ishaq before it was abridged, refined and transmitted by Abd-Al-Mali Ibn Hisham.

It is specific to the life of the Messenger of Allah [Peace be upon Him], beginning from his birth, upbringing, surroundings, acquaintances, social status, and so till his death.
