In the Quran, Allah asks us to think about the creation of the heavens and the earth. In simple rhyming verses we go on a journey through the Cosmos. Take a look at the Earth and how it spins, bringing about day and night. The moon illuminates the sky and brings about the ocean tides. Observe seasons as earth makes it way around the sun. Planets float around the sun and meticulously keep their schedule. A look at the Milky Way tells us of our place in the larger scheme of things. The black holes continue to perplex the scientists.

Did Allah create the universe or did the universe create itself? Could all of this have come about just randomly? Observing the Cosmos is a fascinating, humbling and unifying experience. The journey through the Cosmos fills us with awe and leaves us in wonder of Allah’s amazing artistry and intelligent design.

Zenubia Arsalan is the author of children’s books. Her first book Before Birth, Beyond Life was published in 2019. She writes about faith, values, science and spirituality and finds her inspiration in science, scripture, and nature. She grew up reading and writing stories and rhymes when she really should have been doing homework. She started her career as an Editorial Assistant in 2005 and is an avid reader.  She is from Pakistan and currently lives with her husband and children Sugarplum, Honeybunch, and Yumpkin in Dubai, UAE.
