Refining the character and restraining lust is of utmost importance in any individual’s life. For this reason it is imperative that the believer seeks to apply the teachings of our righteous predecessors, who were at the pinnacle of ethics and nobility. Their moderation in every matter related to faith, character and manners is a shining example for all those that would like to tread in their footsteps.
The Refinement Of Character is an English translation of selected chapters of the classical book Mukhtasar Minhaj Al-Qasidin (A Textbook On The Ethics Of Self-Discipline) by Imam Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisi (r).
