He does this by whispering false promises to us which cause us to change our intentions for worship and lead us to strive for the praise of other created beings instead of the praise and pleasure of the Creator! A miracle, no doubt, is one of the significant features of the Prophets and the pious, but to believe only by virtue of them is a sign of weak faith. Miracles only reinforce the existing faith in the heart.
